Fortem have received the prestigious RoSPA President's Award following successful achievement of 10 consecutive Gold Awards.
The RoSPA Health and Safety Awards is the largest occupational health and safety awards programme in the UK. The event recognises organisations’ commitment to continuous improvement in the prevention of accidents and ill health at work, looking at entrants’ overarching health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
Julia Small, RoSPA’s Achievements Director, said: “Accidents at work and work-related ill health don’t just have huge financial implications or cause major disruption – they significantly impact an individual’s quality of life. That’s why good safety performance deserves to be recognised and rewarded. We are thrilled that Fortem has won a RoSPA Award and would like to congratulate them on showing an unwavering commitment to keeping their employees, clients, and customers safe from accidental harm and injury.”
Mel Simon, Fortem’s National SHE Manager, said “I am extremely proud of this award as it recognises the continuous effort everyone in this business, including our dedicated SHEC team, makes, year on year, to strive for Health and Safety excellence. Our number one priority is to ensure no harm comes to our people, our supply chain partners, our residents or anyone who may be impacted by our works. This award encourages us to keep driving for continuous improvement whether that be to our management systems, finding safer ways of working or finding more effective and efficient ways to engage with our people.”
