Fortem’s team of Birmingham roofers have taken part in their first ever virtual reality training at their Birmingham office, Trigate House.
The training was successfully delivered using 360safeVR technology, which uses virtual reality headsets and interactive surveys as a method of delivery. The training is a new system and provides a completely different and immersive environment to explore different onsite hazards and scenarios with small groups of trades and Fortem’s supply chain.
Two scenarios are currently available including a ‘Service Strike’ and ‘Fall from Height Accident’ which are both thought provoking and create a great discussion on positive health and safety management, amongst those completing the training.
The initial training session, with Fortem’s experienced team of roofers in Birmingham utilised the Working at Height scenario and saw great feedback received concluding the session.
Following an excellent initial training session in December, Fortem’s Health, Safety, Environment and Compliance Team are looking to roll out more training throughout 2020 with the system that provides a fresh and engaging approach to health and safety training.
