Fortem and Town & Country Housing have created an innovative joint venture company to deliver a repairs service to 8,600 homes across Kent and Sussex.
The joint venture company, called TCH Repairs Ltd., is responsible for responsive repairs and void maintenance. The company has a 12-year contract, extendable by way of three further periods of five years to a total contract term of 27 years, worth £189m.
Fortem will be investing significantly in systems and technology to ensure an efficient, high-quality service is delivered for Town & Country Housing’s residents. These new technologies will provide added benefits, such as keeping residents informed about work in their homes, better diagnosis of repairs and a reduction in wasted time through more efficient management of appointments.
Fortem share Town & Country Housing’s ambition of providing a repairs service to be proud of. Bringing together a wealth of knowledge, skills, and experience, the new partnership will create a strong entity committed to giving residents first-rate care.
Residents will begin to see changes to their repairs service from 1st November with the contract coming into full effect in the new year.
Bob Heapy, Town & Country Housing’s Chief Executive, said: “Town & Country Housing is committed to delivering quality homes, building communities and improving lives, and our repairs service plays a vital role in helping us to do that.
