Fortem have partnered with Sanctuary Group to deliver an ambitious carbon reduction and net zero programme, transforming the energy efficiency of properties in Sheffield.
Scope of works
The SHDF Wave 2.1 funded programme is to deliver a range of decarbonisation works, including external wall insulation (EWI), solar PV, low energy lighting and loft insulation.
Following detailed property assessments and a collaborative design and development process with Sanctuary, the works were expanded into a large-scale solar PV programme, with loft and cavity wall insulation and enhanced roof ventilation.
The programme was delivered to a seven-week 10-property pilot phase, gradually scaling to 20 per week, to increase efficiency.
I am very satisfied with the solar panels. My bills have literally halved. I was paying £107 per month and now it is only £50-£60 per month.
