External Wall Installation (EWI) and other energy efficiency measures for social properties of a range of housing styles to support Hull City Council’s (HCC) ambition to make social housing more energy efficient and eco-friendly.
Key Successes
- We formed a collaborative relationship with the council and our system designer, agreeing the most suitable solution and system design for each property with a view of a whole house retrofit
- Works will be delivered to appropriate PAS requirements
- 44% average energy improvement
- Work completed within the designated 7 weeks
- No residents were rehomed
- Planned works were designed to significantly improve the aesthetics of the area and value of the properties
- Every tenant had a Customer Liaison Officer to answer queries and confirm timings of the project
- Delivered an all embracing Social Value campaign to support those most in need, including school regeneration and apprenticeships
- Shortlisted for 4 sustainability awards including, 2019 Best Social Housing Initiative – Municipal Journal Awards
