Client: Metropolitan Housing Trust
In 2015 we were approached by Metropolitan about delivering their Wholly Owned Subsidiary (WOS) model repairs and voids service to 15,843 properties in London, as an emergency contract. We had open and honest conversations with Metropolitan from the start in order to understand what they wanted to achieve.
Key Successes
- We invited Metropolitan representatives to visit our Paragon branch in Surrey so they could see first-hand how we work collaboratively with clients. We also showed them a copy of a Smart Report; unique to Fortem, these reports supply real-time data on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Metropolitan told us there was more information in that one report than they had been given in years.
- We recruited trade and office apprentices and held a recruitment fair in Clapham Park. We invited Metropolitan to our annual Apprentice and Trainee Awards so they could see first-hand how we look after and celebrate our employees at Fortem.
Works include:
We mobilised the contract in seven weeks. During this time, we identified and fully equipped a new office space in Hoddesdon, installed our IT system and compliantly managed the TUPE transfer of 33 office staff and 57 trades who were all kitted out with tools, vans and uniforms.
